I left this adapter plugged in and it quit working after 9 months. I wouldn't spend the amount of money necessary for buying the Canon-brand adapter. In fact, I'll be purchasing an adapter, from a different maker, that will work with my Elura 100 and only costs 30 USD.

This is all you need. I bought this battery for a Canon Elura 100 and I am very satified with the battery life. Do not expect the battery to recharge in a couple of hours, you should do it overnight.

I bought this with hesitation. It looks cheap, but I wanted something that could charge my extra battery while I was using the camcorder and I needed the option of charging in the car. When the item arrived it was just as expected, hollow and cheap - I almost didn't want to put one of my batteries in it.
To my surprise the charger is AMAZING! Not only does it give you versatility in how you charge your batteries, but it charges them MUCH FASTER than through the camcorder. The charger also features red and green LEDs that let you know when your battery is charged so you don't over-do it. I use this thing all the time, it's great!

I received this versatile charger and it was a bunch of plastic adaptors that were really junky. I sent it back because it would not charge my canon battery because the contacts were too flimsy. However the company Accessory Genie was very good about getting me a refund.

This charger is cheaper, smaller and even charges is the vehicle, why pay for the original canon charger when you can charge on the go for less.
